  2. Introduction

We would just like to introduce ourselves and say hello to everyone. We are of course Marine Farm. We have been around since 2012. Originally we were selling Corals and frags to our customers but at the moment we have put that on hold (due to a premises move). We are proud to be an official distributor for Evergrow, so if you have any requirements or questions on lighting then let us know. We will put some ads up for you with prices. many thanks! Ian
  3. Hey Guys, Dave kindly asked us to pop over and take part in this forum, always a pleasure that. If you need anything from the world of Reverse Osmosis and general water filtration products, we should be your first stop! Setting the scene here, we've been around since 2005 continuously offering new and innovative products to the market. We've seen a lot of copies of our products reach the market but rest assured, you won't find a better quality product or service than by buying direct from us. No hard sells, no cheap and cheerful stuff that you have to buy again in 6 months either, our products stand the test of time and won't cost you an arm and a leg buying twice. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us although we'd prefer if you did that via our website contact form at the following link as it's tied with our customer database and therefore we can keep all our records in one place. https://www.osmotics.co.uk/pages/Contact-Us.html

  5. TMC FAQ's

Hi, I thought I would add a FAQ's of the most common questions we receive at TMC! 1, Do the Tropical Marine Centre have open days for the public to buy? Health and safety and staffing is the biggest issue. We have a lot of tanks and not a lot of space for people!, plus we can’t sell you anything! Becouse we only supply the Trade. 2, Do we a paticular fish in stock? We don't give out livestock availability, but we do often have a so many different species in stock. Please speak to your local aquarium store and TMC stockist for more information. 3, Do we supply spares for our equipment? Yes we do, but you will need to contact your local TMC stockist to order parts for you. 4, Do we stock tank bred fish? Yes we do, if we can get a tank bred fish over a wild caught fish we will do so.
  6. Conditioning Offers

Fair play guys you are tempting me to buy a shed load of product online with your up to 15% off. I am a massive user of Red Sea nopox etc so stocking up with 10 products and getting 15% off is very appealing and free delivery beats getting on train to pick it up too. However popping down on Saturday morning and picking up some biegels from brick lane too might win the day. Paul Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Hiya

Hello, stumbled across this site whilst using Facebook. I have been reefing for nearly 3 years and have 3 tanks, I must be mad and slightly addicted to this hobby. A Red Sea reefer 450 that was set up in August 2015, a reefer 170 that I set up in October 2016 as a breeding tank but not got too far as letting tank mature before I concentrate on getting parameters in line for a pair of Picasso clowns to hopefully start patting eggs and a 210L frag tank that is cycling. Look forward to contributing to this forum Paul Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  19. Hey all, I've set up my first marine tank with live rock and sand, started with clean up crew (hermits and shrimp). Then added a pair of clowns and added a bubble, top green button coral I'll try and add some photos. I'm just wondering when els can go in with the clown and the corals. I feed my clowns frozen cubes ( half a day) as the clowns are young any treats I can give them and do the hermits and shrimp need anything specific. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. New Return Pump.

Fellow enthusiasts I have a Aqua Reef 275 which came with a Aqua One return pump which I have just upgraded to a Jecod DCS 4000..... Once installed I noticed water leaving the return pump section in the weir out of a small section which I never noticed before, anyone able to tell me if this is normal or not? I'll attach a photo as it's hard to describe. Ha. I'm thinking it might be some sort of overflow system or something. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Hi can someone ID the white tentacle things coming out from my mushroom please never seen it before and it's not from anything shedding as it goes back in
  22. Flashing Light

Just when I think I've seen it all, I just turned everything off I noticed a flashing light coming from my tank I grabbed my phone and quickly took this quick video. https://youtu.be/sSUKb2Tc_HU If you look dead centre will see what I mean. Then turning the light on the area it stopped just a plain piece of rock with very very tiny hole in it which is where I think it may have been coming from. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Sumps And P/skimmers

This is just out of curiosity, And was thinking the other day about this, For those of you who run sumps when you buy your Protein skimmer and return pump do you calculate your flow rate of your sump to equal your skimmer, Ie do you think your skimmer has enough contact time with the water in the sump before returning. I Would really be interested to hear your views on this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Hi guys, Has anyone else noticed a temp increase in tank water in the last 48hrs? Mine has gone up from 25 to 26 [emoji16] Heaters are off and doors, windows etc wide open [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
