  1. High reef temperatures

I was at 81.6 (27.7 Celsius) according to apex and above 27 for a few days and all ok. I turned up powerheads overnight to keep orp high as I saw a slight drop overnight in oxygen levels compared to normal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can you use a USB and plug into your computer to build a schedule of different flow rates and programmes? Giving the tank variety appears to be beneficial and more natural. Just a thought Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. dosing nopox

Over how many hours do you dose as i dose 12 ml per day over a 2 hour period. I have however started to dose alk over an 8 hour period during the day to keep that as flat as possible so makes sense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Transporting fish

Quick update I collected the fish a couple of weeks ago. Used a salt tube half filled with water and they were ok, which was a relief Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Transporting fish

I did not pick up as I had to stay in London. I could be going next Wed but will see if work plans change. Thanks for asking though [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Transporting fish

Thanks, but depends on traffic. I am hoping no more than 4 hours but depends on traffic. Will take bigger bags and have 1 fish per bag. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Transporting fish

I live down in Essex but tomorrow I am working in Leeds and plan to pick up a pair of clowns and have a dilemma. How do I best transport them back home and I think I have 2 options - Double bag then individually and place them in a polybox with heat packs and newspaper or Put them in a salt bucket so have more water but less likely to keep them warm About 2 years ago I transported 13 fish from derby but that was during the day and mid-aug so temp was not an issue and all were ok in bags but it will be colder. Thoughts? Paul Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you want to set them say at 50% on lagoon then you don't need a reeflink. If you want to programme them I am not sure how you do it without reeflink though. With radions you can use a USB wire to connect to a pic and you are away. Paul Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. MP40 QD

IMO yes but I have 2 x mp40, 3 x radion and an m1 vectors too along with another radion on a different tank. If you just wanna set up a programme and that is it then maybe I would think twice but if have more than 1 ecotech product then yes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. How much is too much change?

Thanks, an interesting take on it by sending out an sos and causing potential instability within the tank. Absolutely, I have been testing alk daily and tweaked dosing to keep a balance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Been reefing for nearly 3 years now and have always tried to let a tank settle and make very few changes. During the past couple of months I have fragged lots of coral from and must have added at least 16 frags too. I have had to test alk and cal daily and usage has gone up level and gone up again and if I had stuck to my normal weekly regime both alk and calcium would have taken a dive however I have had some movement. As a result I have had 2 of my chalice start to strip but fortunately this seems to have stopped about 3 days ago so hoping this has stopped One of my favourite, avatar chalice Green/blue chalice (don't know name) I have come to the conclusion that adding this many corals is a no no and I should stick to what I have practiced since setting up my 1st tank. Be interested to hear other reefers views on how much change and how do you cope with it? Paul. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Tester Coral

Duncan's will retract, torch tentacles are not as plump. Lime in the sky acro is not as green and popping as usual Paul Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Phos removers experiences

If it takes phos to zero from being high does that not risk shocking corals as they seem to hate spikes or big reductions. Is it better to reduce/increase over time? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. TDS levels

I have one fitted to RO machine and test everytime I make RO. Do not test other than that and water parameters are pretty stable. Paul Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. My 10 year olds fish list.

Nice list. Leopard wrasse is my favourite out of all of those, colours are superb Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
