  1. Thanks, an interesting take on it by sending out an sos and causing potential instability within the tank. Absolutely, I have been testing alk daily and tweaked dosing to keep a balance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Been reefing for nearly 3 years now and have always tried to let a tank settle and make very few changes. During the past couple of months I have fragged lots of coral from and must have added at least 16 frags too. I have had to test alk and cal daily and usage has gone up level and gone up again and if I had stuck to my normal weekly regime both alk and calcium would have taken a dive however I have had some movement. As a result I have had 2 of my chalice start to strip but fortunately this seems to have stopped about 3 days ago so hoping this has stopped One of my favourite, avatar chalice Green/blue chalice (don't know name) I have come to the conclusion that adding this many corals is a no no and I should stick to what I have practiced since setting up my 1st tank. Be interested to hear other reefers views on how much change and how do you cope with it? Paul. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Duncan's will retract, torch tentacles are not as plump. Lime in the sky acro is not as green and popping as usual Paul Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. If it takes phos to zero from being high does that not risk shocking corals as they seem to hate spikes or big reductions. Is it better to reduce/increase over time? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. I have one fitted to RO machine and test everytime I make RO. Do not test other than that and water parameters are pretty stable. Paul Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Nice list. Leopard wrasse is my favourite out of all of those, colours are superb Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. How long has the tank been running and what is you phos parameters? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Fair play guys you are tempting me to buy a shed load of product online with your up to 15% off. I am a massive user of Red Sea nopox etc so stocking up with 10 products and getting 15% off is very appealing and free delivery beats getting on train to pick it up too. However popping down on Saturday morning and picking up some biegels from brick lane too might win the day. Paul Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. At that stage where tank looks super clean but you wanna get on with stocking it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Some eye popping corals Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Look really good and with the tank being nice and mature should be good for corals Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Looks really interesting, will check that out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I don't know if it is the best or not but I have been using Red Sea coral pro for past 2 1/2 years and have no complaints. Not the cheapest but I tend to buy 3 tubs at a time to get it a little cheaper. Paul Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Ditto Xr30 & xr15 Vectra M1 MP40QD Reeflink Feed mode on M1 is excellent and with one touch the vortechs go into feed too and no kicking crud back into tank when ramping back up. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. With that level of stocking weekly water changes would be sufficient for a while as bioload is very low on a 300L tank. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
