    Its a 7x2x2 from acaquatics
  2. Twin Durso Weir Pipes

Whats the best way of attaching this bulkhead theres a rubber washer which i presume goes inside the tank and a hard plastic which goes on outside? Should i use these and silicone everything or not use them at all. Do i also need ptfe tape on the threads? A shot of the new tank..
  3. Twin Durso Weir Pipes

Also how do you guys direct the return pipe from the weir?
  4. Twin Durso Weir Pipes

Yeh ive seen it done different ways so getting everyones views before deciding. Thanks
  5. Hi just after a bit of advice my new tank will have twin durso pipes how are these setup as i only had a single durso on my old tank. Ive seen some with the durso pipe lower than than the other stand pipe and also vice versa? Also do you silicone your bulkheads or rely on the rubber washer? Thanks
  6. Advice Upgrading To New Tank

Thanks for that guys i guess it will be ok transferring stock over so fingers crossed when i do
  7. Hi all Im after a bit of advice regarding upgrading tank. I currently have a 100g fully stocked with sps lps and some big fish inc puffer naso and emperor. I will be upgrading to a 200g in the next few weeks and it will be in the same position as the old tank. I will be moving the stock to a temporary vat before the tank comes so i can move out old tank. Once the new tank is in i will be setting it up with some of the existing live rock and some new dry reef rock and I will be using atm colony. As i dont want to leave the cotals and fish for too long in the temp vat can I move the corals and fish in straight away or will i need to wait till the tank cycles even using colony? Appreciate any advice as i dont want to lose any stock thanks
  8. Levelling Tank And Cabinet

If a use slips of wood on one end wont that cause pressure on the cabinet as some of it will be off the ground?
  9. Hi All I will be taking delivery of a 7x2x2 tank and cabinet in a couple of weeks. My present tank which is 5ft long is not quite level theres probably about 5ml difference between the ends so was worried that the extra length would mean a bigger difference. What is the best way levelling the new tank? Thanks
  10. Heater Size

Just a final thought would having each heater on a separate controller be a good idea as a failsafe?
  11. Heater Size

Thanks Yeh I've already got one on an stc controller for a 400lt tank so I just need to buy another one in that case
  12. Heater Size

So would you say 2x300w aquamedic titanium would be sufficient?
  13. Heater Size

How many watt heater do I need for 1000lt tank please?
  14. Tank Size

I think Ive decided on a 76L x 24H x 28W tank size not quite as long as a 7footer but wider front to back and actually holds more water than a 7x2x2 what do you think?
  15. Tank Size

Longer prob takes less room as wider sticks out more. In terms of swimming space wouldnt a wider tank give them more of a 3d swim rather than just side to side?
