  3. Hello from me to you

@Dj23bol said he had a good success rate with a product he used and might be able to help you l personally can’t remember what used. On the other hand it may be worth trying to get your phos levels up slightly and see if that works for you first. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Hello from me to you

Hi there Are you using any Carbon dosing by any chance also can you tell me is your No3 and Phos readings if out of balance maybe one reason why are you have it and what is the flow like around that area if there is not enough it can course dead spot allowing nutrients to build up which can sometimes spark this off. these are just a few possibilities. Also there are product on the market which is meant to get rid of this to if you don’t mind using chemicals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. Hi Guys

Yes it's quite normal with new skimmers when doing water changes or even adding anything to the water to go mad for a brief time but as the skimmer beds in it won't be as bad in the meantime try taking the lid off the Collection cup or rising the skimmer slightly higher when doing water changes until it settles. Welcome to reef face[emoji106] When you have time and if you have a System why not tell us all about what you have and how it runs with lots of pictures[emoji846] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Hi Guys

I would say 12 hours is average four hours ramping up To a full spectrum for Photo which is four hours then four hours ramping back down to 0. Some like longer some shorter it's just about tweaking to suit their own needs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. Hi Guys

It's entirely up to you really imo they're both as good as each other you could use both One in the morning and The other in the afternoon in small amounts, As for the skimmer I would get it up and running straight away it will take a few weeks to probably work properly anyway.[emoji846] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Hi Guys

I wouldn't add any more fish for a while imo you need to let colony do its job and let it build up the good bacteria to handle your fish Bio load for a length of time. And make sure you have no ammonia also keep an eye on your No3 as you want that down to reasonable levels first, before you move on. How are you running your system do you have a sump or are you running with external filter have you got any rock and what type, and what type of equipment have you got flow pumps lighting filters etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. Hermit crab

What would be the possible reasons for my hermit crab to keep coming back to the same coral even if I put in one end of the tank he will still make his way back up to the top of one of my islands to the same coral he doesn't seem to be doing any damage and From what I can see there are no eggs either. 24. Phos removers experiences

Phos removers experiences. Tell us what you've experienced. I've always been a big fan of Rown Phos, And always used to be able to get a zero reading when adding new to my reactor but for some reason ever since They added some brown stuff to their media can no longer get a zero reading, As a example years ago when I used to run my tank on tapwater and used to be able to get a reading from my reactor when adding new Rown of zero and brought my main tank down from 0.25 to 0.03 but now ever since They change the product slightly The best I can get out of my reactor is 0.08-0.16 with my tank reading at 0.16-036 no matter how much I put in or how much I have just the flow from a bear shimmer to bobbling makes absolutely no difference to the Reading coming out of the reactor I did wonder if I had a bad batch and bought a new top just to find out but still the same results, no it looks like after all these years I'm going to have to move onto a different product maybe phosguard might do the trick. In the meantime I bought this product I have decided not to use it yet it's meant to reduce your phos over night to zero and then let it rise to balance adding accordingly, being I've started to use NoPox thought it's better to leave this for now. So what are your experiences and what do you find works for you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Phos removers experiences

Yes I couldn't resist first of all I use it half the recommended amount didn't see much change within the first few hours of using it being it's meant to work instantly I decided to use the full recommended amount and brought it down from 0.36 to 0.16 with no side effects i.e. Floating particles are cloudiness. Or even irritation to corals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
